Nearly there :: The Studio

At the moment we're busy planning our marketing, our launch and setting our studio up. The studio is very exciting and while it's not quite ready yet, of course I've been evaluating, sorry, playing with all the lights and gizmo's. And while this is great fun it is also a means to an end. At 80eight we want to produce the best quality images we can and not only that, do something different when the brief allows. Here's one of our studio test shots - more to follow.

Dangerous Shoes

We're always on the look out for props and accessories that we can use in shoots. At the local charity shop Colleen came across these and decided they were perfect. I can only say they are highest heeled shoes I've ever seen and it seemed to me people should be warned about them. Personally I'm glad I'm A) Male and B) Tall enough. They do look great though!

Latest Shoot :: Steph

Here's a couple of shots from our latest marketing shoot - this time with Steph from up the road near Edinburgh. While the weather was cold, wet and windy, we all enjoyed the shoot very much and I think we captured some very special photographs. Many thanks to Steph for putting up with the awful conditions and to Colleen for her great make-up.

For those interested the setup was a single flashgun bouncing off a gold reflector to add some warmth to the scene.

Latest Shoot :: Hannah

We've just completed another shoot with Hannah and we all had a great time. The location was the harbour in Eyemouth and despite it being wet and cold, Hannah and the coat of many colours lifted the gloom perfectly. We also ordered the largest, most colourful ice-cream we could find and the shot here shows Hannah approaching it rather warily. I'm told it featured mint, bubblegum and strawberry flavour - just what you need for a chilly August afternoon.

Getting ready to Launch!

80eight is getting ready to launch officially in October and at the moment we're busy building our studio and portfolio. Last week we had a great shoot with Tracy from Duns and Hannah from Hawick - both of whom will feature in our marketing material. Both models were great and we got some fantastic shots. Here's a couple. Although we're still in the process of setting up, we can handle non-studio assignments and will be happy to talk through your requirements.
