Product Shoot: The Thread of Life

We had another request from 'The Thread of Life' - this time a product shoot for a range of colourful and stylish crochet hooks. Here's one of the images - it's simple but makes the most of colour, shape and form.

Jim Clark & Dirt Bikes

The Jim Clark Rally was fabulous - especially as, living where we do, we had a great view of proceedings throughout the weekend. We especially liked the older cars and this old Vauxhall Avenger was simply wonderful. We both also love motorbikes and as an ex-enduro and motocross rider (more enthusiasm than skill) I'm especially looking forward to visiting the Duns Motocross circuit sometime soon.

More Portraits

Here are some more example portraits 80eight have taken in the past. You can probably tell that we love capturing the fleeting moment seldom seen as well as more formal images. Client Brief: Make Crochet Sexy

Our brief was to make crochet sexy, contemporary and cool. We managed this with a fashion inspired shoot and some creative product shots. Unfortunately our model for the day was held up, so Colleen got made up, donned the fabulous crochet dress and the results can be seen here.

Getting to know the area...

Well, we're slowly getting to know the area, getting to grips with the wonderful scenery and light and simply learning where the good locations for a shoot are. We are also planning to offer limited edition prints, postcards and maybe even calendars - all for sale from Nairn's newsagents. For now though, we're building up a library of images.
